Stawell Gift
The Stawell Gift has is an annual tradition dating back to 1878. Held over the easter weekend at Central Park in Stawell, it is the richest handicapped footrace in the world that attracts many famous athletes. Grampians National Park
Covering 170,000 hectares, this is the fourth largest National Park in Victoria, and it is home to over 80% of Victoria’s Aboriginal rock art. Renowned for its diversity of flora and fauna, it is better known as a great hiking destination and the best place in Australia to see Kangaroos. For more information visit www.parkweb.vic.gov.au.
Family Activities
There are many great family activities in the Grampians Region, from wonderful bushwalks to mountain bike riding, fishing or eating an ice cream marvelling at the mountains around you. Other great activities include a hit of minigolf at Grampians Adventure Golf or visiting Victoria’s largest regional Zoo, the Halls Gap Zoo.
